Through the years, the Bible has played an important part in the shaping of our nation. Indeed, Canada’s motto "A Mari usque ad Mare" (From sea to sea) is based on Psalm 72:8, which reads "He shall have dominion from sea to sea and from the river unto the ends of the earth (Psalm 72:8)".
The Bible has influenced the laws of the land, our language and our culture, and Bible work has been going on in Canada since before Canada became Canada.
